Woah, it has been a long time. I guess I got lazy :D So yeah, 21 weeks are FINALLY (and I mean FINALLY FINALLY) over and I've completed my AISL training! NO MORE TRAINEE LIFE FOR ME,

BECAUSE 3SG SOO IS HERE!

Okay, those are a just a few of the nicer pics. I guess passing out as a 3SG comes with a bittersweet feeling. I am really going to miss trainee life, being able to screw up without bearing too much responsibility. It is only when you are a trainee that you get to share the ups and downs with your fellow coursemates, and bitch about the instructors and their hilarious training methods. I have to say that this course has been the best experience in army so far. I really learnt a lot, and I will miss everything about ATI/SOA/STW/BX. Haha. So yeah, here's to all the wonderful memories I've had as a trainee in BX course, and more to come in 46 SAR! (yep, that's the unit I've been posted to)

Hey all! Corporal Soo has finally completed BSLC today! After a totally disgusting and horrendous 28km route march through the night. The worst thing was having to MARCH straight into our parade right after the march since we were the last company to complete it. Needless to say I was dying. But oh well, I guess my Corporal rank was hard earned after all. Gonna miss ECHO coy and all the slack times we've had together. My platoon mates and all. WE ARE FROM ECHO COY ECHO COMPANY AH! Gonna miss doing the Echo warcry in the morning with Yiwi leading it. Never fails to make me laugh at how retarded the whole thing is.

Moving on, I got posted to *drumrolls*

ARMOUR.

Like ZOMG screwed. 21 week course to my 3 stripes AND on top of that I heard its damn xiong. God help me. I have no idea why so many of us got posted to Armour and Combat Engineer. So little Artillery/Provost/Airforce la! No idea how I am gonna survive the whole training in Sungei Gedong camp but on the bright side we'll get to learn new stuff. No more route marches for me I think! WOOHOO. Black beret here I come.

Right now I'm gonna try to plan my weekend properly so I get the most out of it, before I go back into hell :D

Hello awesome readers, this week has been a hectic week for me. Had outfield training almost everyday, which translates to sleeping late and waking up early, having to endure freaking mosquitoes, and being smelly, sandy, wet and stinky for long periods of time. And its not over yet! This coming week I have to go back to the jungle again for my navigation exercise. Anyway, before this gets too depressing, let me introduce you to ELLEN PAGE!

Tadah. Pretty right. Okay, I think she's more cute than pretty but whatever. And she's only 21! Oh btw, she's the main actress from Juno. That's a good movie so you should go watch it too. She also acted as Shadowcat in X-men! TOO CUTEEEEEEE T_T Hahahahaha. I think NS makes me irrational.

On another note, I watched We Will Rock You the musical with my family yesterday. Was a splendid treat. I think the whole thing educated everyone there on the greatness of old school ROCK. Haha. The voices of the performers were freaking powerful PLS. And the band was just... downright rocking. Couldn't hear any mistakes at all for the guitar solos and everything. Perfect.

Other than that my bookout was pretty boring. Seeing the OCS dudes today was fun though. Missed them quite a bit. Shit NS makes me gay too. Hahahaha! Now, let's hope I get Silver for my IPPT diagnostic test this week so I don't get corrective training on Saturday!

HELLO ALL. Oh man. Been such a long time since I've touched this blog. Anyway as everyone knows already, I've passed out of BMT long ago. Next I'll be going to SISPEC (School Of Infantry Specialists - for those girls who don't know like JESS haha) to train. I guess I'll make new friends and have more retarded times, the course is gonna be a long 6 months. A part of me tells me "WA YOU DAMN HENG GO SISPEC NO BRUNEI NO JCC LIKE OCS" but another tells me that "walau you go sispec for what, all your church friends in ocs!". Haha I guess its all part of the tradeoff :/ I'll be lonely on Sundays when the OCS ppl are confined. But that leaves me with more time to commit to church related stuff I think. Just gotta see what God wants from me.

If anyone was wondering where I disappeared during most of my block leave, it would be explained in the photos below. I was actually attached to the Pro Bono Services Office at the Subordinate Courts. Basically I wanted to see how lawyers work and stuff, and visit the courts. The entire experience was an eye opener for me, to see how many people needed help from lawyers and could not afford it. Oh well, if I get into law I shall see what I can do about it :D (waaaa big words. must get into law first then talk.. :/) Anyway, I'll let the pictures do the talking!

RECRUIT SOO REPORTING FOR DUTY!

Hello all. This is gonna be my last post before I join the ranks of MEN! To defend all you helpless people at home :D So much for independence eh. My dad had to pack my bag for me because I couldn't squeeze all my shit in. My mum give me all sorts of medication to bring, can become medic liao! Nasal spray, clarinase, strepsils, lao sai pills, inhaler, mosquito patch, lip balm, enervon (some vitamin c thing) and biocal (calcium pills) WOO! Hope I didn't forget anything though. I brought 10 sets of underwear because I lazy wash :p Haha. Anyway, it is quite amusing to label all your stuff (scared ppl kope). Kept writing "T"s on everything. Even on my phone battery! O_O

Oh yes, wanted to thank the BEAUTIFUL PRETTY KIND LOVING SWEET CARING WONDERFUL LOG girls for organising the "secret dinner party" at jes's house. Haha. The henna on my foot is almost gone though ): Will miss you all so please keep LOG going while we are away and force us to come down for session no matter how tired we are! Above all, please keep us in your prayers. (Especially for the thing about not using vulgarities :D)

The last few days have been quite nice. Seeing people being concerned about me going into army and all. So thank you to all who have made the past week so KEWWWWWL. I've been going out everyday except today! Must spend quality time with family. See I so good boy right (: OKAY. I shall end the post now. I expect this blog to be dead for quite some time.

To all female friends (and gay friends who don't have to go for army but I hope I have none): You will have to bear with a lonely Timothy Soo Zhi Ren for the next 2 years, so please be understanding when he smses you at night because he MISSES you. Hello all! (let's hope some deranged soul still checks out my blog every now and then, hoping to find an update) I shall not say I have not updated for a long time even though I know I haven't, and that at the same time have nothing to write here anymore. But that's not the point. The point is that I'm gonna be flying off to Perth this sunday ): Sad face is not that I'm sad to go Perth. Sad cuz I'll miss people/things in Singapore. Like my Hellgate London. OMG I'M SO CLOSE TO COMPLETING IT!!! Okay sorry for the outburst. And yes, perhaps I'll miss my friends. Maybe only la. Depends on who somemore. LOL. And I guess my temporary departure from Singapore FINALLY warrants an update on this poor blog in case anyone misses me. HAH!
Let's have a recap of what has happened since the last update.

A Levels are dead and gone. No one really cares about what happened, and I don't care about the results (yet.)

Holidays have started. Days have been wasted. My so called plan to exercise and to turn my body into a deadly sexy hot bod has failed. So far I have only completed 1 day of exercise :D GO SOO! Hahahahahaha.

Class chalet has passed! A bit of a mixup in the dates which led us to spend 1 day at Sinhwee's house. Amusing incident, but fun nonetheless. Again, 06s38 sucks at eating BBQed food, and sucks even more at watching horror movies. I admit, I'm like a super humji dog. But guys like matthew, joshua, david and john are just as bad/worse. During all the scary parts we will be like staring at the ground/playing games on our hps/closing eyes/whining about turning the tv off. Very hilarious experience anyway.

Ah. And prom has passed too. Too fast actually. After preparing for so long (God knows how long I took to buy my stuff - Orchard sucks) and the gruelling jamming sessions, the night seemed too short. But DYAM. At least everyone looked good. I think VJ ppl have a flair for dressing up and all that. Was fun taking pictures and all. Doing stupid things too. Like chanting for Chin Ann's girlfriend to kiss him on stage, which she did. Getting Deon to wear the blue ranger mask up the stage to shake Felicia Chin's hand after winning air tickets, AND then getting Joshua to don the pink ranger mask to go up too. Uh, class people running up the stage after The Next Toy Store performed and thrusting fake flowers into our faces, with John falling OFF the stage and getting a damn bloody big bruise on his thigh. Haha.

Almost Post Prelim Symptoms

YOYOYOYOYO. I'm back. Whew. It's been a crazy 2 weeks, damn tiring to say the least. Well, tmr is the last paper for prelims! Finally. Can get some well deserved rest at last. Been having headaches the past few days.. I mug too much liao :D But I cannot stand it, mug also cannot do well. Chem mcq today was damn shitty man! Got one portion out of 10 questions I get 6 wrong yayayayayay. Aye, but I shall not dwell on sad things but think happy thoughts!

Haiya, but the feeling sucks now man. Its like you expect to be happy and all that prelims are finally over but I don't feel anything. In fact, I feel DAMN bored. Maybe the thought of the A levels looming around the corner (40 days+!) dampens my mood. ): EMO. Haha. At least there are things to look forward to.. like Arsenal vs Derby on Saturday, stayover at hoon's house, CHURCH on Sunday and possible (plspls) log outing. Yeah man.

Anyway, church is a happy place man. Its like, I did some flag day thing for the Yellow Ribbon Project last Sunday, and even though it was my first time doing, it wasn't so bad afterall. I mean, church people are damn nice! You don't even have to say anything and they approach you with a smile and try to stuff $2/5/10 into this small little slit (which I think is only meant for coins). Haha. Much better than outside man! Heard horror stories from friends saying that they had to top up the cans with their own coins just so they could return it without feeling so pai seh. Lol.

Damn I suck at blogging. Really cannot think of what to type. Then again I just watched some Channel U show about blogging. ROFL YES ITS IN CHINESE. But I only watched it because Xiaxue and Steven Lim aka chicken pie man were on it. And boy, were they duking it out. Slamming each other left right centre. And Xiaxue actually doesn't have a real job, she just lives of the income her blog brings her. Shitz man. I think if anyone should make money it should be Steven Lim. His videos are.. midly entertaining but majorly disgusting. Hahahahaha.

Oh yeah, just remembered. My condo is under the enbloc invasion. Screwed man, seriously. My godfather says there is a 50% chance that the enbloc will be successful. But what the hell is wrong with Singaporeans, SO DAMN MONEY MINDED. Enbloc here enbloc there. Must as well go flatten every single condo in Singapore la. Make money by selling your existing unit, but you'll still have to pay more for a new house since property rates are so high now. AND, Kensington Park is such an ownage place to live in! Walking distance to Gardens, Sgn North Ave 1, Church. If I really have to move out my heart will break. I guess I've always been taking my home for granted. ):
